How La Poulerie was born

La Poulerie was born from the expert restoration of a small old rural stable. All the work was carried out by local artisans, selected to ensure the restoration blends in with the surrounding context of the village of Burano and, at the same time, to support the local economy in our own small way. The project’s completion was a challenging one. The village of Burano, within which the property is located, dates back to the 14th century, and conservative renovations must therefore comply with a series of restrictions. The harmonious blend of the resulting accommodation with the surrounding context has made up for any challenges encountered along the way. A cozy little nest: this is what La Poulerie was designed to create. Refined furnishings of the finest workmanship, commissioned and crafted in Veneto by skilled craftsmen, enrich the property, immersing guests in a pampering environment that offers relaxation and tranquility.

Once upon a time...

...a small village overlooking a panorama of countless views of the lake, the valleys, and the surrounding mountains, expertly orchestrated by the central position of Mount Legnone; this is Montemezzo. Passing by one day, we fell in love with all this.

It wasn’t long, just a couple of months, before the dream of having a refuge far from the chaotic metropolis came true. After some time, our eye fell on that old, battered little stable/chicken coop, the subject of palliative treatments that, if possible, only made it even more battered.

Soon thereafter, the spark ignited; the time was ripe to undertake, as perfect novices like us, a project of design and restoration capable of breathing new life into the structure and contributing to the rebirth of the village.Di lì a poco scattò la scintilla, i tempi furono maturi per intraprendere, da perfetti novizi come noi, un’opera di progettazione e di restauro capace di ridare vita alla struttura e di dare un contributo alla rinascita del Borgo.
